EDUCATING FUTURE GENERATIONS ABOUT SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

It has been over 20 years since the 9/11 attacks, which means today’s K-12 students were all born after 9/11/2001 and effectively have no memories of the tragic events – and heroic responses – related to that fateful day. Educators have told us over and over that the 10 symbolic elements of the Freedom Flag have proven to be an effective teaching tool in classrooms to help the current generation of students learn about the complicated sequence of events which took place on 9/11/2001.

The Freedom Flag Foundation's educational support is expanding related to the teaching methods, creativity, and requests of individual school divisions. Please view below the general educational objectives and the educational initiatives begun to implement these objectives.
